Bosch starter cross reference/parts??

Hey folks,
I have a German made Farmall. 3cyl diesel 26HP with a Bosch starter w/ the following info. My starter doesn't kick in all the time the first time (acts like a solenoid). Only option for me is a rebuilt starter to the tune of about 500 bucks. Just picked up a freebie that has been laying on a shelf in a guy's barn for a bunch of years. It bench tests good, no loose/noisy bushings, etc. found a couple websites where I can get a solenoid and brushes but they are real proud of them. Thought maybe some of you may be able to cross reference and see if parts are available in the States or if an entire starter is available. The tractor motor is a DD-111.
What parts should I be looking at if it bench tests OK? Just solenoid and brushes? Thanks for any tips. OEM number is 711104R91

Dave

On the nose piece is LLG 46E2

On the Body is
Bosch Made in Germany 000 1354 074
12V 1.8 PS 801 (the 1.8PS means 1.8 horsepower)

On the solenoid is 0331400003 12V 30

gear is 1 1/2 inch diameter w/ 10 teeth

I don't know why this starter was removed. Been laying around for quite a few years according to the guy that gave it to me. When I bench test it, it kicks in and seems to work fine and quiet, Everything seems tight.

Would like to find a new switch, drive, and brushes if anyone knows where I might find them.

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave, my brother had to by a solenoid for the
Bosch starter on his 3230 with a D-206 German Diesel
engine. I looked on caseih.com parts and the part
number for the solenoid is:
3079167R1 SOLENOID SWITCH
This is same part number for solenoid for the
starter for D-155, D-179 and D-206 engines.

Thanks,
I've got a lead that I sent an email to. Any idea what his (tractor's)symptoms were when he had to replace his solenoid?

Dave

Dave, yes, when he turned the start switch nothing
happened. First he thought it was clutch safety
switch, shorted safety switch out, still same
problem. He could jump the across the two large
bolts, battery cable to starter lug and tractor
would start. Does not fit the usual solenoid
failure pattern, usually you get a click and no
starter spin.
