How do i ID my tractor without a data plate?
I was told its a 1946 M.

Look for casting codes on the different cast pieces on the tractor. like 6*6*O 6 being june the 6th 1950 as the 0=1945

Most of the casting codes gene mentioned should be P's; or O's if a very early 1946. Any P's at all will make it a 1946.

If the engine has a serial # its possible to tell the month the tractor was built. Provided the engine is original. Example a tractor built in the first month of 46 would have a engine serial # 104294 or higher and be lower than serial # 105329. 105329 or higher would be a feb. built tractor.
