Will it Fit ???

i have a bn and was wondering if a wide frontend would fit on it from a SuperA ?? if so will normal tools do the job or is there some part making or special adaptor parts needed? i ve never attempted such an ordeal as this but i have split tractor from stem to stern for seals, brakes ,clutches, etc, i found the tractor in a grave yard in maryland, never seen so many tractors of all makes and colors. price is 375 which to me is a good deal if it will fit up. thanks for any help or info,

From what I understand yep it will bolt right on no problem. My self if all goes well I plan to use a trike front end off a B on and A tranny/rear and make a BA

Yes BUT if you look at the front on a A you will see the pivot point on the A front is NOT in the middle of the axle. So it will look funny. It will stick out the left side. If you go for it you will need to use the bolster from the A unbolt it off the engine. I am 90% sure of this.

I think your best bet would be to find a WFE from a C or Super C like the one pictured above. They will fit, the block is identical but the grill will be different from an A to a B. Not sure about the grille from a B to a C.

Good luck, Matt

DO NOT get one from the C as the steering sector is different. Do put one from the A. Gaet enerything from the steering wheel forward. If you want the front tread to be the same as the rear it will turn funny as the distance from the output shaft will be wider on one side . Most just set the wheel tread both side same distance. I have one to do that way owner just want a wide front on his B.The grill is different on the A but you can cut the Bs and make it fit around the steering sector. Everything will bolt up but the grille.Mite want to go thru the As steering sector replace seals and so forth. Make sure the spindles on the A get grease to the bottom where the wt rides sure makes them steer better. I have went both ways either butting one on ar taking one off and then adding the narrow front. e-mail is open

Better look again the Cs steering comes in from the left side and not on the right like the As. How many have you done.

That makes a great belley mower set-up. The grille going from the A to B will need some triming on the bottom and there will be a little void on the sides but it will work.

Reason I plan to do this is because I have a B with a bad engine as in locked up and an A that had hit a tree when it rolled down a hill with out the person on it and broke a good bit of it. I have the sickle mower that fits the A so I will take the 2 tractors and build one odd but good tractor

This is the B that my students & I just finished over the last school year / summer. We made our own wide front using parts from an A, schedule 80 pipe, and 1/2" plate. This one is an easy bolt on / take off operation.
