Removing hydrualic pump Farmall Super M

I want to remove my hydrualic pump to lighten up my tractor for pulling. If I take it off do I need an adaptor plate to bolt my distributor up or how do I go about it. Thank you

you will need the spacer that goes in there. i-h calls it a distributor bracket. you will need one off a super m, not an m unless it is a very late m, as the mounting bolt holes to the block are drilled different.

just get the coupler from a M, call mike bunk at steel wheel ranch, around a 20 dollar part id imagine.

You talking the distributor pump, or the belly pump?

A Super M could have either, or both.

If the belly pump, a piece of lexan will cover the hole.

On the distributor you need the adapter off an M or Super M without live hydraulics.
