Fast hitch plow questions

Well I got it home okay, now what is it. It's 2 bottum with small hitch prongs. It's got a big spring on the top, shares must trip. The wear parts are pretty worn. I would like to know what model it is and how hard it would be to get parts for it. Thanks a lot. PUTTER

Can you post a picture? It sounds like a C20. Depending upon what bottoms you have most of the wear parts are available. The "Plow Chief" bottoms are a 3 piece bottom and the most difficult to find. "Super Chief" 2 piece bottoms are a little more common. You won't find any at the local farm store or dealer. I needed a plow chief mold board and their was 1 NOS at an IH dealer in Nebraska. They only wanted $268 + shipping. I welded my old one up. I bought 2 brand new plow chief points at an auction in a bucket of junk for $5.00. Nobody knew what they where. You get lucky every once in a while.

Big spring is just as a shock absorber, not trip beams. Probably helps prevent breaking something in the Fast-Hitch on the tractor... or your teeth on the steering wheel.

Here is what I have:

These parts came from a dealer closeout in RI. I can't find these numbers on a tillage website I just visited. Looks like a few of the parts will fit a 412 plow that I have.

Like mentioned...probably a C20...great plow when hooked to a Super C! W had the plow chief bottoms...hard to find, expensive when ya do...went to an equipment junk yard grabbed two complete bottoms off a 700 semi mount, put 'em on and away we went...now just hit TSC for parts

Putter; glad you got it home safely. I peeked in the implement photos and linked to the best photo. You will need the shims for the fast-hitch sockets and you will be able to hook up and plow to beat the band. Good luck w/your project.

Al you hit the nail on the head, that's it. Looking at that pic my iron is about the same shape. Would you call those plow chief or super chiefs. I'll check around for a manual but trial and error will probably win out. Plan on doing some fall plowing for a new food plot.

Dean It's a C20 just like the one Al posted. You lucked out on that iron. I will weld mine up also just kinda looking for a picture of a new one. Thanks PUTTER
