666 wide front

Any advice on getting the knees to move in and out on 666 wide front ? Mine is stuck w/2 holes showing on each side. I would like to set it for 30 inch rows. I have soaked it with penetrating oil but have not tried to move it yet. Thanks DTK.

I dont usually have trouble with the main pipe but the tie rods are a real pain unless you moved them regularly. Good luck Erik...

I destroyed the outer sections/knees on the WFE for My Super MTA trying to get them to free up. LOTS of help from 2 rosebud torches and 2 guys swinging a BFH. Finally got em, but it ended up costing me a trip to the machine shop for new parts.

This is how I've done it since way back when my hair was still black. :>)

This one just happened to be off the tractor. Just "bump/yank" 'er a little. It will come.

I have a friend who took his tractor into the local blacksmith who heated the heck out of it for half a day, gave up, frind took it back home. Took front end off and apparently took off parts that would get damaged. Piled it high with corn cobs, lit it up and let her cook all night, next day or so took it apart. They can be real mean sometimes.

When I ran the salvage yard we disassembled a lot of fronts. The secret is to get the knee to spin around in the axle tube. Start by moving the knee back and forth
