544 Rowcrop diesels.

Just got done redoing one,turned out pretty nice.There're not to big on HP,about 52,but what a super nimble smooth running tractor.I've seen some 544 utility's,mostly gas burners,but not many diesel row crops.I was wondering if anybody knew how many of the rowcrop diesel were made,I've been getting alot of variations on the serial numbers.Thanks.
 
How about a picture ,as to how many were made i dont think any one really knows. IH probably didnt record how many were diesels and how many were gas. Erik..
 
I've been asking a similar question,Does anybody know how many 826hydro were built,verses gear drive?no body can answer that either.
 
If you go into the Historical archives on IH that are at Madison Wisc, with a lot of detective work you might be able to figure it out as it does show a tremendous amount of production information. It is a little too much for me to negotiate my way through all those records though. Some one posted their website a few weeks back, I bookmarked it and do refer to it now and then when I am just killing time on this machine.
 

You should be able to find what you need here, click on the year of your tractor, and the 544 should come up, just search the scanned document untill you find your year and make.. Mine is a 1970,according to this my International Farmall Hydro 544 diesel (FH-544-D)is one of 109 made in 1970.
