Increased HP in a CUB

If I was to bore the cylinder and icrease the size of the pistons to say 30 over how much increased HP could I expect ? Thanks

I didn't do the math, but on those small bores ,the increase wouldn't amount to much. Maybe a cubic inch or two.

you might try a set of "domed top" pistons to increase compression, but i dont think the differance would be very noticable. like the previous post the small size of engine is limited to horse power output. d.coleman

Im gonna do the pop up pistons in mine someday.

But for now I turned up the governor speed like the 154/ 184 lowboy. It helped alot on the hills.

Few weeks ago I broke the exhaust pipe and had to take it off to fix it. I bead blasted all the junk outta the manifold while I was at it. Aso took the die grinder and did some mild porting/ cleaning up the casting flash. It helped a touch, but its a 60ci engine. I found its easier to hop on a bigger tractor.

Porting and polishing and overboring by .030 gives you what, 10-20 HP on a 300HP engine?

A Cub engine is 9HP.

The increase is going to be proportional. Best case is .6HP. You could do better by getting off and pushing.
