Hauling fast hitch plow

I'm wondering if a 2 bottum fast hitch plow will fit in the bed of my shortbox pickup or should I take the trailer. It's about 100mi round trip.

I used my 8-foot bed pickup to haul one of those plow's for a Super C. I had an engine hoist in the truck's bed to lift it. It should fit your bed. You may need to leave the tailgate down. Hal

it should fit in there fine i hauled a 1 bottom trailer in my service box that is 4x8 fit just fine in there so 2 btm quick hitch should be smaller

Putter; Thanks for asking; gave me the reason to check my storage and found it to be 4.5 miles round trip. If you have got 5" 4", so let us say 5" 6" to account for front pickup bed embossed sheet metal, you can get both bottoms in, points first. My F-150 would hold it. Does your plow have metal or rubber caster wheel? Mine was metal 8^(
don"t ask. I"m guessing it"s for your 340...travel safe.

Set the plow on a sheet of plywood and tie it down so it can't bounce at all. If it bounces on steel it may break the tip off. Hard lesson learned.

I picked up a 2 bottom fast hitch plow for my Super C about 150 miles from home. I had a 1992 Dodge Dakota with an 8 foot bed and it wasn't even a tight fit. I set it on some plywood and used some cushioning material along the bed and strapped it in so it couldn't fall over. It seemed to be top heavy and I believe it would have certainly tipped over if it wasn't tied down good. We lifted it in the truck with a loader and I removed it at the farm with my bucket tractor. No problem and was an easy haul in the bed of the truck and the tail gate closed no problem. If you need measurements let me know and I'll maeasure mine for you, Hal.

Thanks for all the great comments, my crew cab chevy has a real short box,5'6". I'll put a sheet of plywood in the bottom just in case it sits on the tailgate some. I've got good tie down straps. Yes Al' it's for my 340, i've been looking quite a while to find one so when this one turned up on craigslist for 200 bucks I jumped on it.Can't find parts for the number 8 anymore. Going to stop at the U P state fair on the way. Thanks again PUTTER
