Super M Clutch Lever

I was looking at a 1953 Super M parts tractor and I noticed the extention on the clutch lever. The suffix on the serial # is a J. I think that is for a Rockford clutch. Was this extention part of the Rockford clutch set-up? Or was it an add-on?

J is for Rockford clutch. The cltuch extension is an add-on. M&W plus a couple other companies made clutch extensions for the letter series tractors.

Thanks. The extention must have been a way to make the clutch easier to push.
If you look at the picture at what appears to be the hyd pump it will fool you as it did me. I started to remove the hyd pump from the belly. I had the T-handle tools in the key holes and we were ready to lower the pump when the last bolt was removed. Much to our surprize there was no pump. Just a cast iron cover made to look like an IH pump on the outside. Was this cast iron mock-up pump cover standard on all of the Super M's?

I've always wondered how much easier to push did they want?

Compared to an 856, or 966, the clutch on an M is effortless.
