Any Thoughts or Help?

I just rebuilt my 706 (263), it starts and runs at about 500-700 RPM pretty smooth. When I go to open the throtle up it spits and sputers and back fires? I just installed a new needle and seat and adjusted the float per the manual to 1 5/16 from the top of the float to the gasket surface with the needle closed. The governor linkage is also adjusted per the manual. My timing floats around about 5 degrees while idling. I did not do anything to the distributor. Thanks for any thoughts?

Where and what do I Open Up?

There is only 1 Idle adjusment screw.

Could it be an electrical problem, such as points or condensor?
