The Difference between MTA LP'S

I have seen pictures of two different types of Super MTA LP's. One has multiple valves on left side of tank and one has one valve at about 11 o'clock on the left side of tank. Tanks on both run long ways not cross ways. Steering shaft goes through center of tank on both,is one factory and one a filed conversion?

In 52 and 53 IH provided a factory L.p. on the super m's. In 54, l.p.smta's were not offered from factory. However, a factory retro kit was available.This mta was retro fitted at dealer with the same kit as used on the super m's.This is not same tractor ,however, Its' restored to replicate the one we had. Tony
