ok that list didn't come out so good, looks like 58 is idle mixture usually about 1 and 1/2 out is close, and 45 in the pic is main jet, 3 and 1/2 turns out is full rich. 1and 1/2 to 2 turns out probably ok for just putting around or light load.

If after adjusting it still runs too rich, you may have adistilate venturi.take apart the carb, the venturi should have a 3/4-7/8 "hole"(distalate venturi only has 1/2-5/8)

One more thing to check. Make sure your primer cups are closed, or if not present, make sure there are 1/8" pipe plugs in the head where the primer cups go.

I have seen quite a few people wrangle with getting their F-20 carbs right, when the primer cups were open, which leans out the mixture. One guy rebuild a perfectly good carb still had the same problem when. I took the valve cover off, and the primer cup holes were wide open (He thought they were oil return holes). Installed 2 pipe plugs, and the F-20 ran like a champ.

ps. the "one guy" was ME! The only thing that is a better teacher than the school of hard knocks, is an old timer that likes to watch you make the mistake............then make fun of you when you are done and then tell you the right way!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all picture is big help. and Tom I did have a F-20 or a Regular missing a cup and and had electric tape over tube. I will have to go look and see if it is this tractor. oldiron29
