Well if you can tell by now electricals not my cupa tea. I put my geneator back on and looked at the pictures i took a few months ago when it was still original wiring and noticed that the wires on the regulator were backwards so I switched em and it didn't get hot so that's fixed but I still have the problem with the amp guage. while the tractors running w/o the lights on it shows a discharge when I would think it should have a charge and when the lights are on while running it shows a charge when i would think it should show a discharge. Anybody have any thoughts on this? or is it normal. I never really payed much attention to it before I took it apart.
