f-400 radiator snag

Need Help Guys!! Restoring f-400 has original looking radiator all seemed to fit well UNTIL I order new original look rad cap. WON't fit my neck is 1 3/4 inch original is 2 1/4 also the top inlet appears to have been cut. it is about 1 1/4 in. THe # on this radiator on tank is 361622-R9 My book calls for # 361416R91. I contacted my IH dealer and he was not able to track 361622R9 to anything. You guys always seem to have the answers. I would like to have the cap look original.Ideas Appreciated,Thanks,Tony

If you absolutely can't get the right radiator, most radiator shops have new necks that can be soldered on. Of course, that's extra trouble when the radiator was supposed to be right in the first place. Can you check around & see if a look-alike cap with smaller diameter is avail.?
