Transmission oil leak

Hello Folks; I am hoping to get some advice on how to deal with a transmission oil leak on a Farmall "C". The oil is coming out of a one-inch hole at the bottom of the transmission case. I think the hole is access to a nut on a threaded rod but can not see anything more than that. This one-inch access hole is just behind (more towards the rear of the tractor) than the access hole used to adjust the clutch linkage. Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas!!

There's not supposed to be any oil in that area around the clutch rod.

You have a front tranny seal out or a bad gasket or something loose (bolt) in that area at the front of the tranny that's going to take a split in that area to repair.

Hey Bob; Thank you for the information and the drawing. The drawing will help greatly! It looks like a "fun" job.

I"m no Farmall C expert, but take the cover off first and see what you have inside. Some trans. let rain water in and then get overfilled, which can cause leakage.

Hey Challenger; Thank you for the tip. I will take a look inside before doing anything else.
