I was doing some bushhogging in the pasture late yesterday and the pto on the old faithful super c stopped turning.I heard no unusual noise or felt anything unusual.I raised the bushhog, engaged the pto and slowly released the clutch, the bushhog began to turn slowly but never got to full speed.belt pully seemed to be turning properly. Is the splines on the pto shaft sheared or do I need to look for something else.Any help would be deeply appreciated.Thank you and have a great weekend.

You will need to diagnose it:
remove the drive shaft from the tractor (it may (should have) a over running clutch on the tractor end of the shaft) if it does, make sure it is not broken allowing slippage.
If it is OK, check the PTO shaft by turning it with a pipe wrench (tractor engine stopped, clutch out PTO in gear) If you can turn it (use a lot of force), it is broken internally. If not it could be that overrunning clutch slipping internally. test it again with more force. Jim
