H front pedestal

I"m replacing the front pedestal and wheel hubs on my 51 H. I"m going to go look at one that is off a 1957 Farmall 350. Can anyone tell me whether it will bolt up to the H and whether there are other differences in appearance, etc. ?? Let me know if you know of a pedestal/wheel hubs for a 51 H in the central Ohio area. Thanks.

Only problem could be the rims, a 51 H probably had the rims with 3 loops that bolts go through to install on the wheel. That type rim will fit the 350 wheels. If you happen to have rims with no bolt loops, they won't fit the 350 wheels. Only differences if comparing the same type wheels in appearance, would be wheel castings were made stronger on later wheels, mainly at the rim mounting holes. If comparing notice the casting is thicker there and longer rim mounting bolts were used. If you have the same rims I would bolt it on and not worry because after 1952 or 53 IH only sold the later castings as replacement wheels for any H. Some real late 51 tractors may have come with the thicker wheels. IH used the term for right or left side of tractor as with the operator sitting in the seat. Don't know which way Gordo means.

I ended up buying the 350 pedestal and wheel hubs. They were in good shape and matched up well. The wheels were a little thicker where they bolted on, but not so much that I will need longer bolts. Thanks for your help !

You likely mean the steering stop bolt ?? On mine, it was the right front bolt as you sit on the tractor. I ended up buying the pedestal and wheel hubs from the Farmall 350.

Thanks for your help.
