trying to find year of my A

I went to the serial number page on here for Farmall. Clicked on the one for A. None of these look like they are applicable. My serial number is on a plate just below the brakes & clutch on the front of the foot platform.
It says Model A - serial # FAA 4618 What am I missing or doing wrong here?! Thanks, Glen

Its a 1939 first year.

You have a very early Farmall A. It was made in 1939, the first year of production.

Early A's & B's had the serial number plate on the pedal guard, like yours is. Later, it was on the inside of the left-hand seat bracket.

As far as I can tell, you aren't doing anything wrong.

Been on this old farm since grandpa bought it new.
Just didn't know it was that old.
Crank starter, still runs good.
