IH 37 baler needles timing

I have an IH 37 baler that I was baling with. U dropped one of the tires in a hole and caused the link arn that goes to the needles to bend and that locked the dog in place to keep the plaunger from coming back. I have straightened the linking arm. If I release the lock that keeps the plunger form coming back and run it through a cycle and reconnect the link I should be back in time with the needles. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have been baling with a IHC 55, I don"t know how similar it is. With mine when the needles enter the chamber a dog is tripped that will not allow the plunger to enter the chamber. The shear pins are sheared if the dog is in the chamber when the plunger comes up. Usually when this happens the needle actuator breakaway is activated and the needles stay in the chamber. When the breakaway is reset the needles return to home position and the dog is removed from the chamber.

Needle timing is a completely seperate issue, you should be good to go after reset.

the 55 and 37 are completely different balers(I've owned both)just order a book(yes they are avalable)a book is LOTS cheaper than a set of needles
