Super H Govenor parts

I've been playing with the govenor on my super h for a while now. It started out that the tractor would only rev out to about 1425 rpms. Just this last weekend I installed a new internal govenor spring. this gained me 300 RPM. Now I am at about 1725, still this is quite a ways away from the stock rating of 1864, plus where I pull we are allowed to go 10% over stock so this would take me over 2000 RPM. When I was inside of the govenor housing, i noticed that both holes that the spring hooks into were egged out and oval shaped. Does anyone know of a place that would have these parts or should I just keep looking in salvage yards? Thank You

Are you saying that you have the high speed stop screw backed out as far as it will go and linkage is pulling it to where the arm contacts the govenor housing. It would take a lot of wear in those spring holes to give you a problem. Are your weights and pins in good condition?

I have fixed a few of those egged out holes by welding them shut and then drilling a new hole. I think the tractor vet installs a bushing in the holes which is a better idea than mine but I don't have a machine shop handy to make the bushings. Those egged out holes DO make a difference.

Yes i do have the high speed screw backed out all of the way, and the weights and pins all seem to be in good shape.

i find that a lot take a cotter pin the size of the wear hole cut it just long enough to stick through open it a little if this does not get the rpm you want go to the nuckle above the gov under the breather tube a little adjustment here goes a long way
