Have bought used live pump that was for a IH 300.
Was removed from a H that someone adapted by drilling & taping 2 new holes in the engine front cover. Have said cover which has the fixed nut on plate pluged. Thus only 3 bolts to secure pump. Would have to remove & exchange said cover. Is there a after market live pump that would bolt to the 4 holes? If more than one available which one is better? Maybe someone has good used one.
 
M&W corp. Made the pump that fits mid 1951 and earlier Hs Later Hs can use the 300 pump you have.
The gears in the older Hs cannot be considered acceptable except as light duty lifting or with a light loader used gently. The cam gear is the fragile component. Later gears (from an SH or newer) are fine. Jim
