B with Zenith carb

Guys,

Not familiar with Zenith carbs at all. This is the first one. In the shop manual for the B it doesn't cover anything for the Zenith at all. Does someone know of a place I could view a manual for the Zenith carb online?

Also, the guy gave me an extra Zenith carb (along with the orig. generator, orig mag., and some other goodies) when I bought the tractor, any idea what the carb is worth?

I'd hang on to the extra carb. I had a lot of grief with the Marvel Schebler on my Super C. I replaced with a Zenith, and I was finally able to keep it from running too rich.

It was a Carter, not Marvel Schebler that I had all the grief with.

Just happen to have my manual for the B (IH Blue Ribbon) sitting on the desk here because I am working on an SA at the moment. Page 25+ cover the Zenith carb. I used it extensively when I did my carb on the B. Now, there are other Zenith carbs that may be on your B besides what is in the book but it should be enough to get you going. They all work pretty much the same.

Your welcome. Having both manuals only helps when something comes up that you need fixed in a hurry.

Dave_Id,

I would like to keep the extra carb as a spare until I get the current one operating right, just as you said. But, I would like to know what the value might be, then if the oppotunity arose to swap parts with someone I would know what I was dealing with.
