1st Farmall: early A; implements question

Just got my very first Farmall: an early A Industrial. I already know this version had no hydraulics available so I'll be stuck with no hydro or implement lift. How hard is it to find the under-belly hand operated implements for these? Or, put another way, how horrible would prices be for same?

I'd like to outfit the old girl with under-belly cultivator for weed control/cultivating around the windbreak and garden and maybe a under-belly or rear blade.

I'm just not sure what I'm up against.

Thoughts on these early A's appreciated.

The cults can be hard to find but they do work well and lift easy as the levers are spring loaded. Too bad im so far away here in IOWA as i do have a real nice one for the A. The belley blade do show up oncein a while but there again freight. And lots of the attachments i see pictured dont have all the stuff to make them work. I give as owners manual when i sell one that way the new owner knows how to install and operateit.

I do wish we were closer. But thanks for the reply. This tractor should be coming home in the morning. Tonight I tried to read the i.d. plate under the seat and it read something like:
1A 1AA 130891 which tells me, from TractorData, it's a 1945.

It came from our little town's street dept where it was equipped with a rotary broom sweeper, all of which is still on it. Odd looking setup. I'll have to see where I can post pictures of it.

I doubt the sweeper set up is any use for me; pretty husky and obviously commercially made. Not sure who would want one.

The tractor sat for a year or so and is stuck. So I guess I'll squirt some ATF/diesel blend into the spark plug holes and wait a bit. Not sure what else will help. I know it ran not that long ago.

You would be surprised who might want that sweeper! And you can post your pics right here in the forum or in the tractor photos section of this site.

I'll report here tomorrow. I load the tractor in the early AM and it's safe where it is tonight. Thanks to all for sweeper comments. Interesting unit, I will say. The bristle sweeper must be roughly 2 feet in diameter. And I guess six feet long with mechanism ability to angle the sweeper. Under and to the back of the front axle is a cast mount for a round column, (I'd say pipe but it's too husky). That column runs under the tractor to the rear end such that forward motion puts the load on the business end of the tractor rather than the front end. Now that I think about it, I believe that column also encloses a drive line to a differential just behind the sweeper. Pictures will be better.

I think the engine is dry-stuck and perhaps not too badly. After soaking via spark plug holes I guess I could rock the tractor back and forth with it in gear and hope it begins to move the pistons a bit.

I'll try to post sweeper photos now. Never did this before.

I set the A behind the water tower and I think I'll drop off the sweeper unit on blocks there. I need to get the A down to more managable/compact size to work on it.

I see no reason for me to keep the sweeper, so I think I'll try to find a home for it in such a way that I'll end up with something else for the A that I can use.

I'm going to post more photos in a fresh post.
