Value of 300U

I know this is a loaded question, but can anyone give me a value of a 300 utility for eastern Kansas? Here is what I know:
1. Everything works (including TA, hydraulics, pto, etc.)
2. It overheats bad. I'm going to say it's the radiator.
3. Hydraulic oil leaks out of rearend between the TA housing. A lot when it's warmed up.
4. Tires are fair
5. It has an IH loader, 2-point sickle bar mower, drawbar that attaches to the 2-point and 2-point to 3-point adapter plates.
6. None of the gages work.
7. It needs a tune-up and oil change really bad.
8. Other items that come with it are rear 3-point blade, 5ft. 3-point king cutter mower and bale spear. All of these I will sell later.
Thanks,
Geoffrey

How it the steering? does it have Power Steering and is there excessive play in it ? If you have to rebuild the gear box its going to be a pain, many parts are no longer available and the ones that are still are big $$. If the steering is good and everything else is ok then anywhere from 1800 to 3500 it really depends alot on location. Here in CT that would go for around 3000 or so fixed up ie no over heating / tune up

We paid $100 for a non-running one about 5 or 6 years ago, ended up being a simple fix for the most part. If it has no power steering then with a loader you will only go one way and that is where ever the tires are turned when you start moving. One in top shape will go for around $2500-4000 but the BIG thin on a 300U is power steering. No power steering and they are not worth much with power steering they double in price in my area that is

It has a bad seal in the rear of the TA housing. Pain to get to. If you get it make sure the seal goes in the right way. Don't ask me how I know.
There is also a hidden bolt in there that goes thru to the rearend housing. Gotta go thru the bottom to get to it.
Good little tractor. No light weight.
I have 7 setting I plan to do "something with" one day.

I have never owned one, but looking to the past. There were quite a few in the neighborhood when they came out. Most spent more time in the shop than they did being used. They were costly to maintain and everybody soon got rid of them. From what you describe I would hate to give more than scrap price. Just my opinion.

Tough to tell not seeing any of it. Pretty desirable tractor if in good running condition. With all the stuff that needs to be fixed I would question how well it has been taken care of and what is wrong that you don"t see. I"d just be guessing on the loader but would put each implement at $100, maybe $400 to $500 for the loader if in decent condition. Maybe $1500 for the tractor assuming you can do the repair work, otherwise I would stay away from it. I can tell you when my mother had her farm sale over fifteen years ago our 300U sold for $2500 with both the engine and the rear end locked up. Like others have said before it is worth whatever the seller and buyer agree upon.

Thanks folks.

I should have said that aside from the overheating problem, it runs quite good and still starts great on 6 volts. I'm 26 now and I have been using this tractor since I was in high school to mow with for the current owner. Yes it has power steering, yes it works, yes it has SOME slop in it and no it had not been taken care of very well before the current owner bought it. Are the parts that are NLA some that a machine shop can make? I happen to own a machine shop.

I believe all parts are available. From various sources, including NAPA and OEM and Wrengers. as well as this site. The tractors are great. Jim.
