MD Engine Question

Forgive my ignorance but;

Why are over bore kits made for a MD if the standard block was made with sleeves?

Is there a source for remanufactured MD engines?

Thank you!

In most cases an "overbore" kit means the sleeves are thinner, you can go to a certain diameter without boring, someone else can give you the number.

just as the others said you can go from 3 7/8" to 4" without boring in the MD blocks. Result is a gain of around 5 to 9 horse.
