Super A implements

is it possible to put modern 3-pt hitch implements onto a Super A? How about a 5ft brush mower? Note: this is a friend"s 1948 Super A, it"s a bit beat up but runs really nice.

Yes it is possible. Worksaver makes a kit. I know other will disagree, but I think it is also a good way to tear up something. If you use the correct size implements it can work well, but you have no draft control for plows, tillage tools, ect. As for a bush hog, you can get one for a Super A that pulls from the drawbar with a tounge or one that bolts to the drawbar and lifts with chains. I believe Howse makes them. Be sure to add an overrunning coupler to the tractor or the bush hog will push you around, and this is very dangerous. A Super A has marginal brakes at best, and when you push the clutch, the flywheel effect of the blades will turn the rear wheels without the coupler.

Your biggest issue will be the offset PTO.

With a 3pt implement, the PTO shaft will be at an angle, and may hit the framework of the implement.

On a trailing implement you can hitch it offset to the left and get the PTO shaft straight.

In over 30-years of use have had no problems with an aftermarket 3-point or the off-set PTO on a Super-A using a tractor-width (not heavy-duty) Bush-Hog. Don't really know about a five-footer, might prove be too much for a SA. If heavy, it may pick up the front of the tractor instead of the mower.
