IHC of Canada?

I was looking at the old decals on the 48 C, and noticed that it had a decal on the left side of the seat support (opposite side of the SN Tag) that says "International Harvester Company of Canada Limited, Hamilton, Ontario." As far as I can tell, this tractor was made in Louisville in late-1948 (October-ish), and has spent it's whole life in Northern Illinois. It also has a Made in USA sticker on the front of the seat support. Just a little confused by the Canada reference, and was hoping that somebody could help me out. Serial number is 15407.

That's what I would have thought, but that tractor has spent it's whole life in IL. My grandpa bought it new in Northern IL. Would that decal have been put on at the Louisville plant, and then the tractor got re-directed or shipped to the wrong place? Guess anythings possible.

Someone told me once that they didn't get the IH of Canada stickers until they arrived in Hamilton. Maybe they had some overstock in Canada and needed some tractors in Illinois so it got shipped back to the states. But as you said, guess anything is possible.
