22-36 Wheel Project

Same tractor as in last post.
After painting the wheels, I want to place "bands of rubber" on the wheels to run them this way, without the lugs.
Can someone give me the technique and the type of rubber tire material to buy?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom ive used old tractor tires and cut them with a saw saw,I measure them from the center tread and cut both sides out,and use carrage bolts between the tread, works good and looked good also

On our 15-30, we got new rubber for retreading semi tires, and bolted it to the wheels. Looks good, and you don't have to mess around with a lot of cutting. Got it in Algona. Comes in a roll, and you just cut off what you need.

I made rubber lugs and front "skid ring" from
skirtboard material.
This can be purchased from any company that sells conveyor belting. Can be bought in various thickness and widths...you cut to desired length.

Lugs 1 1/2" thick. Skid ring 1" thick

Countersunk machine bolts.
