MD injector pump:fuel in oil

Ok, here's the problem. I just recently purchased a Farmall MD and it has the same problem that my pap's 400 diesel has. After a little while of running, there starts to be diesel in the oil in the injector pump. What could be wrong? I don't have the tractor at the house yet so I can't answer questions about it by looking at it. My pap's 400 has the same problem only his will run out of the fill tube if you let it go too long. Any help is appreciated. If you don't know how to fix it but know somebody that might be able to let me know.
Thanks.

There are a couple of sources, Plunger seal, and gasketing type issues. They are very beasy to seal back up. There is no (thousand similar parts) problem, they are simple. Just be clean, and take pictures at each stage. Jim

When you say "a little while of running" do you mean while actually running or is it just a problem over a period of time?

If you can get parts, they are easy. It is nearly always the seal on the shaft between the primary pump and main pump body. The MD has a packing type seal that is long gone from the shelves. If the 400 has the B pump (with IH on the top cover) it will have a modern seal, although only available through IH.

I'm not sure about the MD yet because I just got it, but all I know is what pappy said about the 400 that it will eventually come out of the top. I've been running it about 30 hours doing stuff with hay and I haven't had any come out yet but I'm not sure when it comes out. It could be from sitting or it could happen while running. I just know that pappy checked the oil in the pump and diesel came out with the oil. The 400 i believe has the A pump but I'll check tonight on the way to practice.
Thanks

Like they said, if it is diluting the PUMP OIL AND CRANKCASE OIL it is most likely the seal on the pump. Like they said, not a huge deal only money.
Mine was diluting the crankcase oil, but not the pump oil. This ended up being failed injectors. The rings would leak so much fuel that it went into the oil.
