i have a farmall h i want to go throough the hydralic pump i have a couple of spares a 43 47 49 which one should i use i know that their is a serial number brake in the pumps do the newer pumps have better pressure. i know youcan adjust the pressure with shims on the relief valve i know back in the day the made a up grade kit to go from 500 to 800 lbs i want to install a 3pt hitch does any one know how many shims to put under the relief valve to get a little better pressure any body have any idea what kind of pressure i need

Use the latest pump you have. I would not shim it. the 3 Points work well W/O extra pressure. controlling the actual amount would be a trial and error issue with error being a problem. Jim
