Bought a stage 2 super m the other day and now dont know what to do with it. Opened petcock on side of pan and watched antifreeze run out for at least 10 minutes so im sure the block is cracked. Otherwise it is very complete. Hood is very straight, everything is there. Dont know if I should just part it out or find a block and fix it.

Depending where it is cracked in the block or head you can weld it back. There are also so good block patching epoxy out there too now a days.

I had a car that had anti-freeze in the pan and it was a cracked head and it was never overheated. Pull the head and have it magna-fluxed for cracks. Hal

I am in full agreement with AndrewZ and janicholson. Them devils often have good blocks and heads, despite the abuse and neglect.....

Guess I should have added that the muffler got knocked off and froze up over the winter. Bad thing about it is that was 3 years ago and has been sitting open since then. Figured that it probably filled up a cylinder and then split the block between the cylinders. I was hoping that it will have a good block yet at least. But with that much antifreeze in the pan I figured that maybe not. Could a person see where the water is coming from if I pulled the pan off and put water in it?

It could be toast. I would just pull the head and assess the reality. There is a slim chance that it is not burst in a cylinder. It will not get fixed with the head on anyway. Take pictures, and keep things in order in cardboard (punch holes and describe what is placed in them, and where they go. Jim
