806 steering issues

806 had hard steering, had water in hyd oil. Steering was only issue. Changed filter and new hyd oil. Everything works great, lift, remotes, brakes except the steering...it is just very hard to steer. Certainly not the one finger steering like my other 806. has anyone else had this?

A "Just fer what it's worth"?

Had a combine one time that I fought for three days with the same problem.

Finally, I quit thinking "hydraulics" and looked at the mechanical end of things.

Goofy thing had gummed up with rust and dirt in the pivots over the years and no amount of hydraulic pressure was gonna move it.

This might not be what's wrong but I had a 806 that the hyds were good and it turned out to be the steering motor, the unit that the steering wheel it attached to. It was hard to steer also. Found a used one and solved my problem
