Duals for Super M

Hi I recently bought a Farmall super M and am trying to put duals on it. I was just wanting to know where I could find a set of hubs and wheels? I have heard about M&W hubs and pressed wheels but don't know where I can go to buy them and also how expensive they are. Any suggestions or responses would be greatly appriciated

Thanks

The simple easy way is to use 2 standard wheels on each side, inside dish in, ouside dish out. Wheel centers are cheap and easy to find rims can be bought new.

We ran a SM dualed that way from 1954 till I traded it off in '71 for an 806D. Takes a little work to take the duals on & off. We would take but wheels completely off when removing the dual and put thee inside wheel back on with the dish out to use the tractor for cultivating. At least they never were "froze up" "~)). A handyman jack or portapower & chain is real helpfull when moving them.We also had a tool, real thin piece of metal with tiny rollers that would go in the axle keyway between the axle & wheel key that would alow the wheel to "roll" whn moving. Sometimes worked better than others. I haven't seen that slide since I traded off the SM :~(

It would be nice to have a Walmart for tractors, wouldn't it? You just go in with a big push cart, load up the rare parts and accessories you want, and head to the checkout...

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. There is no one sure-fire place to buy used tractor parts.

You need to LOOK for the parts. Where? Everywhere. You never know where you're going to find exactly what you're looking for. You might find the parts advertised in the local "penny saver." You might find them on ebay, craigslist, in the classifieds... You might find them in someone's back yard. You might find them in an old barn. You might find them at a junkyard... You just never know, and you have to keep your eyes open.

check out any auctions, we have several consignment auctions in my area (north central illinois) i bought 3 sets of duals for m's, 2 clamp on styles and one set of peterson bolt on duals. they generally go for under a hundred dollars a set. all three sets had good rubber on em. also bought a set of 18.4 34' clamp on duals with a good set of firestone field and roads for 55 dollars. seems that clamp on duals go real cheap even with good tires, but a pair of tires off the rims will bring big money. dunno the reasoning, but sure glad it works out that way!!!

A Wall Mart for tractor parts???? LOL all you would find is cheap crap from China....kinda like TSC.
