lets try this again.

I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but what is different between the -6 rear axle and the M rear axle other than the length and splines? Ive never had a -6 that I had to go into that far, been lucky I guess. Im wondering since on my I-4, it used a seal set-up like an H, the 4 bolts come right off and the seal is replaced that way.

i'm looking at the i+t manual for it, it says the bull gears need to be detached, then the carrier needs to re removed from the the tractor, then remove the spacer and the pin from the outer end of the shaft, then remove the outer bearing retainer. bump outer end of axle shaft. this will dislodge the shaft and inner ball bearing. the outer bearing can now be drifted from the carrier using a long drift against the outer race.

hope that helps.
