I posted the other day about a 450 engine block in a M. And the deal fell threw. I am looking to build a engine with a 4 1/8" cyl. bore for my Farmall M. Ive seen piston and liner kits for super m"s and farmall 400,450 blocks to give me the cyl. bore I am looking for but the super m, and 400,450 blocks seem to be very hard to find. What what size bore with out the liner"s do the M, super M, 400, 450 blocks have? And if they are diffrent can a M block be bored out to take a 4 1/8" liner and piston? The block Ive got has a crack in cyl. 3. So Ive got to find a block.

yes an m block can be bored to 4 1/8 no problem had that done to mine, the blocks are the same other than the bore.

One thing to keep in mind is when you are boring an M block to use in a 400/450, you need to drill the hole for the dipstick tube.

Shoot me a E-mail [email protected] . With your zip code. Im in South East Michigan. Im not sure if it would be cheaper to ship block or pick it up myself. It would be atleast 2 weeks before I could pick it up. Combineing wheat and bailing straw now. My zip code is 49285. Thanks Kevin
