Two way lift all

I'm wanting to make my liftall two way with Janicholson diagram. I was wondering if this valve would work ok for it.

TIA

That picture bothers me. Could you remove the valve before someone sits on it?

As for open center, you must be able to blow air from the "in" and "out" ports without restriction when the levers are in neutral or "centered".

The valve doesn't appear to have an internal pressure relief circuit. Not necessary as the Liftall has it built in.

There are a lot of ports on that valve, as Wardner and teddy indicate, one of them will be pressure in,one will be return to reservoir. They must be open to each other (blow through) when levers are in there center position. Be careful when plugging ports to assure you are plumbing it as needed. If it has a diagram, use it. Jim

Get the specs on that valve. It has one too many ports for a two-spool valve.

The extra port at the very bottom of the picture will probably turn out to be the "power beyond" port. It is useful if you wish to connect additional valves or items to the system.

The two larger ports on the top of the valve are the IN and OUT ports.

The four smaller ports grouped in a square on top of the valve are the work ports. Two work ports per lever. These connect to the cylinder(s).

mkirsch,

I think those two ports closest to the bottom of the picture are the same and you will find the same pair on the hidden side. The extra ports are furnished for plumbing convenience.
