cub distrubitor cap rotor

no or intermitting spark fron fresh o/h cub engine. new cap, rotor, points and 3 condensers from IH dealer. have done contaneuty check for shorts in distrubtor wiring, good. could i have the mismatch cap or rotor? will a delco cap fit a IH dist.? thanks for any suggestions. new coil and 12volt resistor installed (external resistor coil) thanks, d.coleman

Delco will not fit. It might snap on, but it is not correct. Jim

check the bushings in the distributor for wear. grasp the rotor and wiggle it side to side. if there is any play in it, that could be your problem.
