Hydraulic Fluid Leak on back of International 674

I"ve got hydraulic fluid leaking on the back of my 674 International Tractor. It"s leaking to the left side of both PTO shafts through a circular piece of metal next to these PTO shafts. Can anyone tell me what this piece of circular metal is for? Do I need to pull this out and replace a seal? Never had this problem before and don"t want to tinker with this until I know what this is for and until I know more about it. I appreciate any help or information you could give me.

Hi, I do not know the purpose of this hole unless it is used for the optional side mounted PTO attachment that is common in UK. I looked at parts book but not very clear, possibility is item:
28 9410356 PLUG, 7/16-20 str thd o-ring boss

I would try a cheap fix first, clean all oil off area with a solvent like brake cleaner and then apply a coating of the GM gasket sealant. The rear end is slightly pressurized.

Maybe someone else has a better idea.

That should be the shaft for the idler gear.
It is sealed with an o-ring.
