International A Shifting Lever

The shifting lever on my 1946 International A is worn badly and the gears occasionally jam. Anyone have the dimensions to weld/build up the piece on the end that fits into the runners? The parts manual looks like a small ball on the end, but mine is completely flat with a bit of a taper, so probably very worn...only 64 years old!

Thanks in advance

When looking from the side, it is circular, from front or back, I think it is flat. It should be just smaller than the width of the rails (left to right) and just round enough to fit the slots (which might be worn as well) bigger can be adjusted on a grinder to be just right. Jim
