1066 fuel tank

Starvation Ridge, This subject was talked about last week, To answer your question the short answer is No! But.....There is a remendy for large chunks of rust, gunge, crud that may stop up the inlet on the Brass cutoff valve and starve the engine for fuel.
This remendy was what my local IH dealer did till this part sky rocketed in price from $7 or $8 to about $80.
It is a screen that will afix to the short piece of 1/8 pipe that sticks up from the Brass cutoff valve about 1/2 inch.
This screen is about the size of your Pointer finger 1/2inch diameter X 2inch long.
This screen in in the Head of a York AC pump on a 1086 IH. I belive it is on the inlet side of the pump. Call your local wrecking yard to get one. I will bet they will have a bunch of pumps that are damaged and be able to get it without having to break down a good one! You should be able to get it for little of nothing! If you have any Questions, Hollar at me tomorrow or over the weekend and I will visit with you about it all!
My # is 512-577-3837. Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.
PS Yes you should drain and flush the tank when you install this screen. Later!

Thanks John. The tractor just stopped dead on me about dark. I opened the drain on the fuel filter and only a small drip came out and filter has less than 20 hrs on it. I have some rust and I reckon I will have to drain and clean the tank before its over.
