To replace the clutch in an H or an M , does the tractor have to be split? Thanks in advance.

As I understand it the disk can be changed but the flywheel cannot be removed on the H. I think maybe on the M you can do both but I'm not sure.

None can allow the FW to be removed. It will allow the clutch driven disk and PP to come out.
At the end of the M production, they changed to a larger clutch which will not come out. Sm, SMTA are all not able to be removed. Jim

You can change clutch and pressure plate on Hs or Super Hs.
You can change clutch and pressure plate on early Ms.
You can change clutch only on later Ms and Super Ms.
You can NOT change clutch or pressure plate on MTAs, or anything newer, without a split. The IPTO and TA are in the way.
The flywheel requires a split of the tractor no matter what.
