1086 seal

I've checked thru the archives,most recomend that you have the special seal installing tool to replace the rear main crankshaft seal and wear sleeve. What does this tool look like? Are they available for purchase? I believe it is tool number FES 149-3. Could some one post a picture or tell me if it can be done without the special tool. Thanks for your help and support. gobble

Click on the link below for a picture of the seal installer. You will need one to properly install the seal. You might check with local dealer or tractor or truck repair shop to see if they will rent one. Kinda spendy tool to buy for one time use. Might be cheaper to pay a dealer for a service call for them to come out and install the seal if they will not rent the tool.

both hy-capacity and ag parts sell these tools. hy cap lists it at about $200.00 iam a dealer for both, if you want i could list one on ebay for you. just let me know.

The seal comes installed on the wear sleeve and is be installed as an assembly. The tool is designed to install them both to the correct dimention without damaging them.
