Suppose an M without fluid would pull a JD 7000
through standing rye? Dirt is pretty heavy. I
guess the best way to find out would be to buy the
planter and go for it but I was wondering if anyone
had any insight.

Thanks

An 856, loaded & bearing saddle tanks, will handle a 7000 6 row no-till w/ dry fert. Wouldn't want to go much smaller... Just from a weight aspect.

I would want at least 2 sets of wheel weights, and even better would be a set of dual rears.

My dad pulled a Deere 7000 4 row with dry fertilizer with a Super H back in the day, no problem.
