My F12 has a serial # FS14211 ande another identifier I550 lower on the data plate. Can anyone tell me the year it was manufactured?

The I550 just might be a 1550. I don't have an F12 to look at but IH stamped the maximum engine rpm's on the serial number plates at least up through the letter series. I believe this is what you are seeing. If the tractor had special features they were noted at the serial number.

The 1550 is the maximum "no-load" engine rpm. I am a bit confused about F-12 orchard model, there was an O012 as the orchard tractor but it is not a Farmall, has same engine and transmission case and most of the gears are the same but its maximum "no-load" engine rpm is 2120
