656 hydro leak

I have a farmall 656 hydro that leaks oil on the left side of the tractor. I have replaced the small tube that leaks several times in the past. The parts page calls this a shuttle valve reverse port tube. I have to replace the fitting that it hooks to or it will leak immediatly. My question is what makes this fitting leak and what do I do to keep this from happwning again. Thanks for your help.

I can see no good reason tube would continue to cause a problem if hydro is working well. Are the tubes clamped together securely . This is a high pressure line (like 6000 psi) so any vibration would be a problem. Has to of course be the proper steel line and from what you said I am going to assume you are using oem replacement line.
