Farmall C question

My C leaks from the shaft that the brake and clutch pedals attach to. I want to put new seals but parts book does not show seals for the shaft. What do i do to stop the rear end from leaking out aroumd this shaft? Thanks Kent

This is 2 per side. The new ones are thin and old ones are real thick. I have tried 1 per side and they usually leak. Also, you will want to drain the rearend when you change these as you may have figured.

Thanks Guys. I'll see about ordering them today. I have the cover off the rear end and the fluid drained.

Looks like the Napa part number is: NOS 11170

I just replaced the seals on my H with NAPA replacements. The old ones were double ( on the PTO and brake drums). I used single ones and have been satisfied. On the brake and clutch shaft, they were only singles. I would start with a single seal, and give a try. It would be relatively easy to add a 2nd seal if that doesn't work, but I am not sure if the shoulder cut in the rear chassis housing is deep enough to take 2 seals.
