is there any place to buy this transmission pilot bearing except the dealer, i tried napa and oreily, the dealer is very expensive and not very helpful, he also is old and crabby, thanks

try mike at steel wheel ranch. i ordered a complete clutch assembly from him, came with the pressure plate, disc, throw-out bearing and pilot bearing for my super m. you may even check and see if they are listed on this sites store too.

Mike can get most anything. Also any place that sells bearings can get it. It is generic, not a special one of a kind item.

i am not sure you understand i am talking about the transmission main shaft pilot bearing. thanks again guys

I tried a couple of bearing places, that one seems to be an IH special part. Nobody could cross reference it. Was around $50 as I recall, when almost but not quite the same bearing was around $12.

Where it goes in the flywheel, right? ST208, Napa can cross it.Oh Reallys probably could too if you didnt tell them what its for. Napa # is BRG 6205ZJ

The front bearing on the transmission main shaft. Part number ST702 or 43356DA. IH price $79.15

Last one I used from a bearing supplier was around 20.00 to 30.00 dollars cheaper than IH. They didn"t stock it. Got it under two different part numbers, bearing race that goes in the transmission input shaft was one # and bearing another #. Bearing quality was poor compared to the original. I ended up using a good used original that I thought was better than the new one. Don"t know the quality of the ones the dealer sells now.

I'm old and crabby too and I'm only 24. I had a used one but it is already sold. You could try a wanted ad.
