Question on 1066 teltale light

I know it is supposed to be on when the clutch pedal is depressed which mine is but is it supposed to flash on/off every couple seconds or on constant. Mine comes on constant for 4 or 5 seconds and then starts flashing on/off every couple seconds. If mine is not right, what might be going on and what to fix or look for.

It uses a special bulb with built-in flasher, and it's on steady for a few seconds 'til the bulb warms up enough to begin flashing.

Over the years I have come to dislike the flashing type bulb as they are inconsistent.
Don't know for sure is lamp is going off due to pressure buildup or has decided to flash. I like to adjust dump valve by watching the lamp and it can make it more difficult with a flashing type bulb. My two cents.
