My solution for fasthitch to 3-point

This is the quick hitch I installed on my 856. I didn't want to replace the fasthitch with a 3-point since it is the original setup on this tractor. I do want to be able to hook to 3-point implements.
I had the prongs for an equipment bar and they work fine for what I came up with. The only mod I had to make to them was the 1-1/8" hole I drilled in them for the bar to pass through. Sorry for the green. Haven't found an original IHC Quickhitch.

I like it! I've been thinking along the same lines, but just using the lower link quick couplers that are available through Northern(and maybe others) and then a traditional top link. I have a few Fasthitch prongs that are just sitting around with nothing to do, and hate to cut em up for projects, even though I know they're really nice steel...

I have thought about that and I don't mow with a 3-point mower. When I find some tempered pins that are 1-1/8 I will switch to them on both sides rather than the full length bar. Thats why I welded on those outside thick wall spacers. They would hold a pin in shear.

Also as a side note some folks had mentioned that a Fasthitch didn't have enough range of motion for up and down when trying to use as a 3-point. I have it hooked to one of my cultivators that have articulating trailing arms that ride on wheels and it gets it off the ground just fine. Plus nothing goes lower than the Fasthitch so it's easy to get down under the pins when you want to hook.

After seeing your fast hitch to 3 point conversion, I may open my eyes to a larger fast hitch IH tractor. I had previously looked away when I saw a 706 or 806 with a fast hitch. With that set up, I may once again start looking at 6 cylinder IH's.

Nice work on the hitch!
